Getting Here

Dublin to Galway on the M6

The new M6 Motorway makes it easier than ever to get to Grattan Lodge B&B, reducing the drive from Dublin to Galway to under 2 hours. In Dublin, look for the motorway signs that say “The West”.

From Galway City

Follow the signs to Salthill (R336), through the city centre and past the docks. Cross the River Corrib on the Wolfe Tone Bridge (Father Griffin Rd) and take the first left—Claddagh Quay. Continue on Claddagh Quay and Grattan Road about 1km (1/2 mile) to Grattan Park. Turn right on Grattan Park. Grattan Lodge B&B is 12 Grattan Park.

From Spiddal and Barna

Follow the coast road to Galway. About 3km (1.8 miles) past Barna turn right on Knocknacarra (R336). Continue past the Galway Golf Club on Upper Salthill Rd. At the D’Arcy Roundabout take the Seapoint Promenade exit and continue along the coast to Grattan Rd. Turn right on Grattan Rd and then left on Grattan Park. Grattan Lodge B&B is 12 Grattan Park.

From Clifden

Follow the N59 through Oughterard and Moycullen to Galway City until the N59 becomes Newcastle Road. Take Newcastle past the National University on your left and Galway University Hospital on your right. Newcastle Rd becomes St Mary’s Rd and then Lower Salthill Rd. Turn left at Grattan Road onto Seapoint Promenade and then right on Grattan Rd until Grattan Park. We’re number 12 Grattan Park, directly opposite the Promenade and Galway Bay.
